Built by locals. Powered by proper food.

Steak Bite was founded by Jamie and Scott, two Doncaster locals with a shared obsession for proper food, done the right way.

What started as countless conversations about flavour, quality, and doing things differently eventually turned into Steak Bite — a place focused on hand-prepped steak dishes, bold flavours, and no shortcuts.

That photo of us at Clarkson’s Farm pretty much sums it up — a shared appreciation for honest produce, local suppliers, and food that speaks for itself.

Not your typical takeaway.

We don't aim to be the fastest.

We aim to be worth the wait

Everything we serve is prepared with care — from cooking our steak properly, to making sauces in-house and building dishes fresh to order. That’s why we describe Steak Bite as artisan street food, rather than a traditional takeaway.

Proudly using local Doncaster suppliers

Supporting local isn’t a buzzword for us — it’s how we operate day-to-day.

Using local suppliers means better quality, better relationships, and food we’re genuinely proud to put our name to.

We’re proud to work with some brilliant Doncaster businesses, including:

Fullers Bakery

The Farm Shop Barnby Dun

S Tabor Fruit and Veg

Local through and through

Our commitment to supporting local businesses runs through every part of Steak Bite — not just what’s on the plate.

If you’re going to shout about being local, you’ve got to back it up — and these businesses played a huge part in bringing Steak Bite to life.

The people behind the scenes

Some people go above and beyond, and it wouldn’t feel right not mentioning them.

A special thank you to Tim Austin, who helped pull the whole project together — from installing appliances and new lighting, to project advice, stainless-steel splashbacks, and everything else in between.
